Ruff Dawg Super-Tug Dog Toy, Assorted Colors Review
My dog LOOOVES his super tug. It's lasted 6 months so far. It's made out of a rubbery material that's extremely durable. He grabs one of the four sides and it stretches out. The only drawbacks are that if your dog lets go (my dog doesn't) then it can snap back at you (and vice versa). It's a play toy and chew toy. My dog loves chewing on it and massaging his gums. You can throw it but it's a little unwieldy and better for tugging.
PROS: Durable. High value if your dog like tugging. Good for play or chew.
CONS: Can snap if let go suddenly. Can get slobbery if you accidently grab the side that your dog had in his mouth. Your carpet will experience more wear as your dog will dig in when you play tug.
Highly recommended.

My Dog Knows This Toy By Name! - L. Rogers - TX
Major looooooooves his tug. He knows exactly which toy to get when we tell him to "go get the tug." He likes to get me or my husband on one end of it and pull on the other end. I think he would happy doing that for hours on end...but we can't stay focused that long. :) This is very durable (he's only an Italian Greyhound, but he can destroy anything with stuffing in minutes) and easy to clean too. Great toy, but probably better for interactive play than solo entertainment.

After reading several positive reviews on another site, I gave this tug toy a try. Unfortunately, this toy broke within 10 minutes of tugging with my pit bull (12 months old). My pit bull takes tug play very seriously, as it is her favorite activity. She shakes her head rapidly, jumps up and down, rolls when we play with her tug. For those of you with gentle dogs, this might work.
I gave this product 1-star because it did not deliver on what it promised.

I searched carefully on Amazon for a tug toy that my two Jack Russell Terriers could "share" and chose the SuperTug. For about five minutes they enjoyed dragging each other around the house with the SuperTug. Unfortunately, I was not carefully supervising them and after another five minutes, my 20 pound, 8-month old puppy had nearly chewed through the toy. So yes, the toy is gentle on teeth and gums, but I wouldn't recommend this toy for dogs or puppies that chew everything they can get their mouths on.
